Engineering the conditions for word of mouth.

Most brand strategy decks start with "how do we reach more people." We start with inversion: what guarantees nobody ever talks about this business, and how do we remove those conditions first. Once we remove the failure modes, the sentence and the shape we built in the first two stages have somewhere to travel.

What happens in the brand strategy stage

First, we map the actual people who will repeat your sentence, not the broad audience profile in a marketing textbook. Where do they spend time? Who do they trust? What has to be true for them to bring you up unprompted in a conversation? Brand strategy here is disciplined elimination: removing everything that wastes the sentence on the wrong room, the wrong moment, or the wrong framing.

What this breaks

The broad-audience instinct. After all, trying to be relevant to everyone is the fastest way to be repeatable to no one. A sentence built to travel through a specific network, in a specific way, to a specific kind of person, compounds. By contrast, a message broadcast at everyone disappears the moment you stop paying for it.

That's also why we work backwards. Instead of asking where else you could advertise, we ask where the people who already trust you spend their time, and we start there.

What you leave with: a brand strategy you can use

A channel plan, a priority audience map, and a clear picture of where the sentence needs to live to start moving on its own. Not a 40-slide deck. A working map.

Start with a Story Clarity Session

It's paid, on purpose. The moment we stop charging for our time is the moment we start attracting people who don't value theirs either. You'll walk away with insight and a clear next step either way, whether we ever work together again or not.
